The second prototype was built on the chassis of Ferrari 500 TRC and was fitted with the experimental V12 engine capacity of 3.1 liters (instead of the standard 3-liter). With this engine the car has participated in only one race: 24 Hours of Le Mans 1957, and in August of the same year the engine has been replaced by the standard-one.
