Chassis 0038M was made in 1950 as Ferrari 166 MM Touring Barchetta. During the Mille Miglia 1951 the car was heavily crashed and then was modified to Ferrari 212 Export with new Vignale body (on the photo). In 1987 the car was restored to original specification.
At first it is the only Ferrari with MB letters in chassis number. B is acronym of Bis, because from this car Ferrari had syncronized chassis and engine numbers, thus there were Ferraris chassis #0024M with engine #0022M and chassis #024MB with engine #0024M.
