On 15 March 1946 the Zbrojovka Brno factory held a small celebration – on that day the first three Z 25 tractors were delivered to customers.
Five months later, the Chamber of Commerce and Trade of the Czechoslovak Republic issued a trademark for the Zetor brand. This brand, like all ingenious, was created very simply: the transcription of the pronunciation of the letter "Z", which was used in its emblem by the Brno Zbrojovka, where the first tractors were created, was combined with the last two letters of the word tractor.
The Zetor 25 model reached 8,500 units produced in 1951. And yet, neither domestic nor foreign demand was fully satisfied.
By 1961, sixteen years after the start of series production, a total of 158,570 Z 25 tractors had been produced, of which 97,000 were exported worldwide.
Классификация тракторов серии UŘ I составлена по книгам "Encyklopedie českých traktorů", "Historie traktorů Zetor" и "Opravy traktorů Zetor".
UŘ - Unifikovaná řada (Unified range).
Цифровое обозначение моделей велось следующим образом:
The name CRYSTAL refers to the unique 1968 cabin, which invokes the concept of clear visibility, as looking through clear crystal.
The UŘ III tractors were significantly modernized and launched on the market in 1998 under the trade name Forterra. Unlike the previous UŘ III models, the Forterra is produced exclusively in a four-wheel drive version.
In 1999, Zetor had to respond to the demands of the times again. It therefore decided on a specific solution: the medium-power UŘ III was still intended for the European and North American markets.
The Forterra model range was dispatched from the premises for the first time in late 1998. The name originated by merging two words: "For" and "Terra" (terrain), which suggests a robust tractor suitable for difficult terrain. It was based on the tractors from Unified Series III (UŘ III).
The Forterra series is designed for medium-sized and large farms, in crop production, for combination with various agricultural machinery, and for transport.
The Proxima model is named after the closest star to the solar system – Proxima Centauri.
The Proxima series is one of the most popular models among customers, used for work in agriculture, forestry, and municipal services.
UTILIX tractors were premiered on AGRITECHNICA in 2017. Their sale started in 2018. They are universal tractors which are widely used not only in agriculture and on farms but also in road maintenance, in planting, horticulture and by hobby farmers.
HORTUS tractors are equipped with a 4-cylinder 67 Hp engine compliant with the STAGE IIIB emission standard. The machines use a mechanical transmission with 24 forward and 24 reverse speeds. The HORTUS HS is equipped with PowerShuttle, a solution allowing to change direction even under load. The maximum speed of the tractors is 40 km/h and, similarly to the UTILIX series, the tractors are fitted with wet brakes. Two independent pumps deliver oil to the hydraulic and control circuits at a flow rate of 60 L/min. Also, this model comes equipped with air-conditioning.
