1990/1991 - the company Ahorn Wohnmobile GmbH was founded in the municipality Ahorn by engineer and investor Hans-Joachim Reichmann.
In 1996 the company was converted into the legal form GmbH & Co. KG and exists under this name until today.
From 2006 till 2013, the sale of new motorhomes via the company's own dealer network was discontinued. The focus was placed on the supply of spare parts and the servicing of existing motorhomes.
In 2013, Hans-Joachim Reichmann's son, Alexander Reichmann, joined the family business and together they established the new sales concept in the German market. Together with Renault, which became the exclusive base for the Ahorn Camp motorhomes from 2014, the motorhome sales were established at 30 Renault dealers throughout Germany.
In 2018 the Ahorn Wohnmobile Frankfurt GmbH was founded in Dietzenbach. In the same year the company name was changed from Ahorn Wohnmobile GmbH & Co.KG to Ahorn Camp GmbH & Co.KG in the course of the internationalisation strategy. The Ahorn Verwaltungs GmbH became the Ahorn Group GmbH.
In 2019, the new model series Ahorn Vans based on Renault Master and Renault Trafic was introduced.
In March 2025 Ahorn Camp entered into a production partnership with the renowned Erwin Hymer Group.
